West Hampstead 3s 1 - 5 Bicester (Will Hartley, Stu Lock 2, Rob Blackie, Jordan Chester)
On a cold afternoon in North London, Bicester recorded another three points against West Hampstead with a 5-1 win.
Will Hartley opened the scoring after five minutes when a firm ball in from Cj Birtles, was deflected by Jonny Reid into the path of Will Hartley who finished well under the rushing goalkeeper.
Well worked team goals were to be the pattern for the game and this continued when some good work from Jordan Chester down the right hand side of the pitch eventually saw the ball make the way to Stu Lock on the penalty spot who applied a finish into the bottom corner to double the lead. The outstanding Rob Blackie, in a more advanced position than usual, then scored his first of the season with a confident finish from a similar area after more good forward play down the by-line.
At half-time with the score at 3-0 Bicester tried not to take their foot off the gas. West Hampstead got the next goal however. They'd had a few good chances, only to be denied by the excellent returning goalkeeper Peter Bowen. They found a way through however after some good play down the left hand side of the pitch was rewarded with a tap-in at the back post.
Bicester responded quickly to increase the difference and a brilliant team goal, finished off with aplomb by Jordan Chester, followed by a well worked short corner that Stu Lock was able to deflect in, led to Bicester finishing the game strongly and with a 5-1 win.
