Hartley and Wilson get two each in home win.

Bicester 5 - 3 South Berkshire 2 (Alex Wilson 2, Will Hartley 2, Stu Lock)

Bicester played poorly and managed to win 5-3 in a match lacking in quality against South Berkshire 2s.

The home team started strongly and soon were a goal up after Alex Wilson showed great composure in the D, as a short-corner broke down, flicking home from close range. Will Hartley soon doubled the lead after some strong play by Jeff Elliott and Dan Round down the right hand side of the pitch. South Berkshire managed to then come back into the game and it was only due to some outstanding goalkeeping from Nathan Elliott that the score was only 2-1 at half time.

Bicester came out firing and soon had the two goal cushion again after some quick thinking from Jonny Reid saw him in space down the by-line and able to pick out Alex Wilson on the penalty spot who finished well to claim his second. That intensity was not something Bicester could keep going however and they slipped into poor patterns of play as the half wore on. Bicester did manage to extend their lead however, as Stu Lock got his first of the season, after Reid managed to again find space on the right and then pick out Lock who finished well into the corner.

South Berkshire then got a goal back from a lovely reverse stick finish from their forward before Will Hartley restored the three goal lead after Cj Birtles found him brilliantly at the back post after a short corner broke down. The away team managed to get one more goal back as the game came to a close and the last bit of drama was a Cj Birtles yellow card for a tackle in the 25, which prevented the attacked from coming in on goal.

With 4 wins from 4, Bicester are happy to still be top of the league but know it matters for nothing at this stage in the season. They now have another home game against strong early-season starters Phoneix and Ranelagh next week.

Man of the Match: Nathan Elliott.

Dick of the Day: Stu Lock. For wiping out their player.
