After telling themselves off at halftime the girls put in a great 2nd half. With 4 goals.

The girls gave another terrific performance at Ashfold School when they played Thame U14 girls on a chilly Sunday afternoon. The game started with Bicester in control from the pushback, and after several short corners and a melee in which the Thame keeper saved 3,4 or 5 shots Lucia Sammons stabbed the ball into the goal.
The rest of the half was fairly even and Amy Cowan in goal had to make 3 or 4 stops which the defence helped her clear to safety.
At halftime the girls gave thenselves a talking to and they went back out and immediately got back on top. On 40 mins Bicester produced a lovely move left to right across the pitch to Imogen Wood who drove to the baseline and into the D she then pulled the ball back to the top of the D to Lucia Sammons, who ended up passing the ball to Amy Willis backwards through her legs. Amy then lifted the ball over the keepers right foot into the goal. 0-2.
On 45 mins an attack down the left saw Estelle Palmer cut inside have a shot stopped but have the presence of mind to feed the ball to Lucia Sammons to score her 2nd goal low to the goalies right. 0-3
On 52 mins Amy Willis capitalised on the pressure when she picked up a bad pass in Thame's defence and ran 30 metres to calmly slide the ball past the keeper. 0-4
The 5th goal came in the 60 min, after lots of pressure Kate Stephson had a shot rebound off the keepers pads out to Charlotte Hiles near the top of the D, Charlotte slapped the ball into the bottom left.
Thame's goal came with 30 secs left of the game, and it was probably only the 3rd attack of the half.
This was probably Bicesters best performance of the season the girls are starting to get to grips with the bigger pitch and the structure of the 11 a side game. Probably shown best by players being asked to play out of position but playing for the team and probably surprising themselves with how well they do.
