Four Bicester U12 teams put in some fantastic performances in the sunshine at the Witney Festival on Sunday. All the teams played with real enthusiasm against teams from Banbury, Oxford, Hawks, Wallingford and hosts Witney, delivering some great results all round.
After some tentative starts, the teams started playing the great, flowing hockey they have proved they are very capable of in training, so well done!
Most successful team of the day were Bicester '2' (pictured) who were undefeated, winning 3 and drawing 1 match, only to be pipped to first place in their pool by Hawks '2' on goal difference!
Special mention to Goalkeepers Jack Tynan and Harry McCulloch who between them played in 15 matches for all 4 teams, often back-to-back on different pitches! Also to Tracy Willis and Don Rowlinson for managing a team for me. Thank you, much appreciated!
Few things to work on at training next week, then bring on the Hawks Festival in 2 weeks time (16th Oct)...
