A brace of goals gets the job done

We won 2-0!!! Dame of The Game for Megan and Captain's player for Claire
Bicester ladies 4’s v Iver & Burnham ladies 1’s

This was Bicester ladies 4’s sixth win of the season, 2-0.
The ladies all arrived in the changing rooms ready to go out and win, some ladies arrived later than others…...Harriet Chesworth-wing!

Out on the pitch our warm put us in a very strong position to get going as all our shots were on target making our keeper Hannah Brown very busy.

Once the game started Bicester were straight off the mark and were determined to go, Hayley Collier scoring our first goal within 2 minutes of the game commencing which was set up by Amy Sarah Crown. Iver & Burnham were not happy and refused to let any more of our goals in. However Megan Ellison did score two goals just outside the D and so they were disallowed by favourite umpire Chris Birch!

The half time team talk involved jelly babies and Hayley Collier telling us to activate our inner tiger.

As we lined up ready to start the second half our supporters were cheering us on and you could Charlotte Allen and Carol Moore-Hulme above the rest of the support. Megan Ellison having two goals already disallowed was even more determined in the second half to score. With in 5 minutes of the second half her wish came true. Iver & Burnham were not happy and were soon on the counter attack some great tackles in defence by Josie Hulme, Georgina Strong and Rebecca Lewis meant that their dreams were short lived. Claire Weedon made some great runs up the right-hand side of the pitch setting up some cracking opportunities for our forwards, earning herself Captains players. Just as the game was coming to an end Megan Ellison had another opportunity to score but again it was disallowed by Nick Harding as it was outside the D (again!).

Overall it was great game to watch and all the support on the sidelines made us want very determined to win. Dame of the game went to Megan Ellison and captain’s player went to Claire Weedon Next week Bicester Ladies 4’s play Thame Ladies 3’s.
