Another 1st Place and festival completed unbeaten

With high hopes from the previous festivals and a largely unchanged team from Hawks last month the U10 A team have set the bar high this season and set out eager to show their form continues.

Wallingford in Game 1 quickly succumbed to the Bicester onslaught and conceded the first Issac Findlay goal within minutes. With Flora McCullough working hard in a wide midfield position Bicester settled much faster than the opposition allowing George Birtles to make the score 2-0 very quickly. Leaving the defensive line including Molly Tucker with very little to do Issac Findlay again and George Mallam added the final goal to seal the result at 4-0.

Banbury in game 2 proved no match for Bicester , Issac Findlay again added two goals to his tally trying hard to add another Hattrick to his one at Hawks. Harry Innes provided solid defence ensuring any opposition attack was short lived and opening up the counter attack allowing the third goal by George Mallam to seal the result .

Hawks in game 3 proved to be tougher opposition and Bicester found themselves having to work harder for the result. Harry Tynan in the midfield and Freddie Clark in defence worked hard to try and open up opportunities, eventually the break fell to George Birtles to sneak a narrow 1-0 win.

The final game against Oxford proved to be the toughest test of the season so far. Bicester fell behind fairly quickly but showing the character of a truly united team Bicester rallied and soon levelled the score 1-1 through George Mallam. However Oxford again turned the tables and overcoming the defensive efforts of Georgia Howlett took the lead once again. Josephine Parker playing on the left and out of her normal position supplied the crosses allowing George Mallam to score his second and level things once again. Determined not to lose out on their unbeaten record Bicester raised the pace in the last few minutes paying off with a third George Mallam goal, his first hattrick, and a 3-2 final scoreline.

Three tournaments in a row unbeaten simply leaves the question of how far this team can go this season. High hopes remain for two very happy U10 coaches.
