U10s' showed off some wonderful hockey when they attended the Witney Festival at the weekend
The A- Team started with a 4-0 win over Banbury, followed that with a 1-0 against Hawks, a 5-0 win against Oxford and rounded off the clean sweep with a 3-1 against Thame.
Goals came from all over the team , Kieran Matthews coming out top scorer with 4 closely followed by Rosie Foote and Issac Findlay with 3 each, George Birtles with 2 and George Mallam with 1 to complete an impressive total of 13 scored.
Impressive supporting play by Flora McCullough helped and although having a relatively quiet day the defensive line of Ethan Locke, Georgia Howlett, Ben Watton and Molly Tucker held firm conceding only the one breakaway goal in the last game
The result of this was joint first place with Oxford Hawks 3 having matched them win for win and scoring the exact same number of goals
The B- Team meanwhile were having an equally impressive day of it, they finished Third overall, also unbeaten on the day only having to settle for third place as they hadn't scored quite as many goals.
All the team played really well and should have scored more goals against Thame, the match finishing 1-0 to us, but we hit the post at least 3 times and hit a couple of good chances wide.
Scorers on the day were Charlie 4, Dan 1, Tom Sames 1, Harry (T) 1 and James 1. Well done to the rest of the team in their strong defending and passing which allowed us to score 8 goals overall and concede just the 1 all day.
A day to be truly proud of for Bicester U10's, and at this early stage in the season marking Bicester as " the ones to beat" going forward
