Bicester Mixed win  4 - 2 Adastral Mixed

Bicester mixed played their first game of the season against Adastral.  After some mid week pitch problems the game started under a sunny Kidlington sky. 

Bicester started well and scored early on when forward Harry Gaunt converted Dugald Humphreys top D strike.  Wife Charlie then turned provider for Gaunt to again convert ten minutes later.  The midfield of Julier, Thomas, amy “the pitch is too sandy and I cannot hit the ball for toffee” Richardson and Stacey Roger battled hard as Adastral found thier feet.  Despite this pressure charlie Humphreys scored Bicester third after the keeper failed to clear the ball.  The Defence of Buxey, jon Roger, Ranson and Man of the match Luke Smith coped well but after a series of missed tackles keeper Jezz Taylor was left stranded as Adrastral pulled one back.

The second half saw streamlined Lucy Birtles come on to shore up the defence as Bicester pushed on but could do nothing about Adastrals well worked second.  Entertainment was provided by Chloe Ranson getting acquainted with the football goal on the sideline and ending up in a heap under it.

Bicester saw out the game with the last goal when dugald Humphreys flicked high after a goal line scramble 10 minutes from time.  The game finished 4-2 .  Special thanks go to captain Fiona Boyer and Umpire Gary Brock
