BICESTER LADIES’ 2ND XI  6 -  MILTON KEYNES 2A XI  0.

Bicester kept up their winning ways in their second game of the season to produce a solid display against a team currently in the league above them. Some early pressure was rewarded when Lucy McGregor was in the right place by the post to convert the first goal. Bicester then kept attacking for the majority of the first half and just after the half hour Sandra Satterley scored Bicester's second from open play.

The second half saw Milton Keynes determined to fight back, however Bicester had resolved not to let their energy levels drop and kept pushing forward. The midfield worked extremely hard, testing their early season fitness and their persistence paid off with 8 second half penalty corners being won. The strength of the Bicester attack meant that goalkeeper and captain, Louisa Morris, was rarely tested throughout the game and the defence were able to push forward, helping to keep Milton Keynes in their own half of the pitch.

Scoring began in the second half, as in the first, with Lucy Mcregor pouncing on a strong cross across the face of the goal from Sandra Satterley. Satterley, as Division 4’s top scorer last season kept up the momentum and scored a hat trick in the final 15 minutes of the game to ensure that Bicester came away with a decisive victory.
